Fire Alarm Devices
This component acts as an input to the fire alarm control unit and are either manually or automatically actuated. Examples would be devices pull stations, heat detectors, or smoke detectors.

Intelligent fire alarm devices are designed for flexibility through custom programming specific to each application. Dedicated outputs are logically controlled by inputs based on the programming matrix written. They are capable of supporting multiple Signal Line Circuits (SLC) where each device on the SLC is assigned a unique identification called an address.

Most conventional fire systems are designed to work with two pairs of wires per zone: one pair for detection devices such as smoke detectors, heat detectors and manual call points; the other for alarm devices such as bells, sounders or strobes.
